The Airport 5K is one of the most unique courses you'll find - the course is actually one of the runways of the Greater Rochester International Airport!

Once again, thanks to all who came out to support such a great cause in 2008!

Look for the Results by Age Group and Overall Race Results for the 2009 event last week in June.

Distance For Both Walk and Run: 5K (3.1 miles)

Prizes

Prizes for the Runway Walk:
  • First place fundraiser wins 2 round trip airline tickets
  • Second place fundraiser wins dinner/overnight package
  • Top Child (under 12) fundraiser wins $100 gift certificate to Wal-Mart


Prizes for the 5K Run:
  • Top 3 male & female overall runners will receive cash awards of: $200, $100, & $75
  • Age group awards will be presented for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female runners in each age group

  • 19 and under
  • 20-24
  • 25-29
  • 30-34
  • 35-39
  • 40-44
  • 45-49
  • 50-54
  • 55-59
  • 60-64
  • 65-69
  • 70 and over
Parking

The event is at USAirports Hangar, 3 South Hangar Road (off of Scottsville Road). Park in the RG&E Operations and Training Facilities on Scottsville Road. Cross Scottsville Road and enter at South Hangar Road. Registration and check in are located inside the USAirports Hangar. (There is NO access to the race course from the Greater Rochester International Airport).

The race helps benefit the Lifetime Assistance Foundation.


The Lifetime Assistance Foundation was founded in 1994 to raise funds to assure a bright future for individuals and families served by Lifetime and to assure continued quality service for persons with developmental disabilities well into the future.

The Foundation is building to provide for all the agency's essential operational, supplemental, infrastructure, capital and service needs.
